Empresa chinesa reabilita aeroporto de Mbanza-Congo
Mbanza-Congo - Depois do acidente que custou mais de 78 passangeiros no aeroporto de Mbanza-Congo, hoje a empresa chinesa "China Road and Bridge Corporation" vai proceder a trabalhos de reabilitação do aeroporto de Mbanza-Congo, na provincia de Mbanza-Congo anunciou terça-feira o chefe do Departamento de Obras e Infrastruturas da Empresa Nacional de Aeroportos e Navegação Aérea (ENANA) de Angola.
José Luis Coelho revelou que as obras, estimadas em 10 milhões de dolàres, vão ser realizadas a partir de Maio e durante um periodo de seis meses.
O mesmo responàvel da ENANA revelou também que o objectivo é adaptar a pista de modo a que os recentemente adquiridos Boeings 737-800 e 777-200 da TAAG possam aterrar em Mbanza-Congo.
José Luis Coelho disse ainda que a pista vai ser aumentada de 1.800 metros para 2.730 metros e alargada de 30 para 45 metros.
De acordo com o projecto para além da pista serão feitas melhorias na zona de estacionamento dos aviões.
O responsàvel da ENANA assinalou igualmente que os trabalhos de reabilitação serão reduzidos uma vez que existem planos para transferir o aeroporto para outro local.
