ANGOLA TEM APENAS CINCO CENTROS DE HEMODIÁLISE
Angola conta com apenas cinco centros de hemodiálise, todos em Luanda, nomeadamente nos hospitais Josina Machel, Américo Boavida e Militar e nas Clínica da Multi-perfil e Girassol.
O país tem registado nos últimos tempos um crescimento de doentes com problemas renais. Neste momento atende mais de quinhentos doentes com insuficiências renais crónicas.
A revelação acontece numa altura
Na abertura do evento o Ministro da Saúde, José Van-dunem afirmou que a melhoria no atendimento e tratamento dos doentes com problemas renais também passa pelo envolvimento das famílias.
A insuficiência renal é uma alteração da função dos rins na qual estes são incapazes de excretar as substâncias tóxicas do organismo de forma adequada.
A doença pode conduzir o paciente a uma rápida diminuição da função renal (insuficiência renal aguda), enquanto outras conduzem a uma diminuição gradual dessa função (insuficiência renal crónica).
