AUMENTA EXPLORAÇÃO DO TRABALHO INFANTIL EM ANGOLA
O Presidente da Associação das Crianças Desfavorecidas de Angola, revelou a Rádio Ecclesia, que a organização que dirige tem registado um aumento substancial do trabalho infantil em Angola.
Segundo Joaquim Dalas, a exploração de menores regista-se em todo o país, sob o olhar impávido das autoridades.
“Em todas as províncias do país, por onde temos viajado, sempre constatamos o trabalho infantil, incluindo, a própria capital do país. Em todos os bairros periféricos da cidade de Luanda regista-se este tipo de trabalho” – revelou.
Aponta como causas, a pobreza que assola a maioria das famílias angolanas e alta taxa de analfabetismo.
“As razões que estão por detrás do trabalho infantil são várias: negligência dos pais, falta de conhecimento, uns mesmo é por questões da pobreza”.
Joaquim Dalas defende ainda a criação de um programa de apoio às famílias em extrema pobreza para se reduzir o trabalho infantil.
“Seria bom que o governo tivesse um programa de apoio ás famílias mais vulneráveis ou aquelas famílias que estão desempregadas”.
Acrescenta que só depois se “passaria para a erradicação do trabalho infantil, com o apoio da sociedade civil”, como recomenda a Organização Internacional do Trabalho.
